Bewick:
I did run away and join a circus Harry - they called it the RAF. And years later I was known as “Bognor” at GGD 'cos I was always acting the goat and the Clown’s Convention was always at Bognor Regis.I only ever went to Bognor once,to the old Presto supermarket in 1986,tipping in the middle of the night and I didn’t see one bloody clown, where did they all go?
Morecambe maybe?
Tin 'at on…
Very funny Webbo!!! Well Iv’e just instructed my Secretary to remove you from my Christmas card list, and the bottle of Black Label I was going to give that “deckie” on the Steam Racket to drop off for you at Christmas----forget it!! I’ts going up to a mate of mine in the Northeast along with the Glenffidic I am already sending!!!

No no Dennis, not you pal,the clowns that appeared in Morecambe in summer, circus’ and all that pal.I wouldn’t dream of associating you with that lot, honest.
Am I back on your Xmas card list? And if you are still sending the Black Label can you send it on t’afternoon sailing so and not the night sailing so I don’t have to get up early to collect it?

I wondered how long it would take you to pop up when “summat for nowt” was mentioned but it is only been sent to those that are polite, respectful and well mannered in company! But I’m thinking none of these prerequisits sit comfortably on you Johhnie, but who knows,if you keep your “nose clean” and don’t get into any lumber over the next 12 months you never know your luck!!! Cheers “H” down the hatch, cheerio!!! Hic! Dennis.

What time has it got to nurse? WHAT!! 9:15! I should have had my medication 2 hours ago! Oh! I’m going to have a word with matron about you my girl!!! MATRON,MATRON cell 13 if you please!!
Aye it would definitely prove costly to you Marcus if you organised a night out with a few of us “senior” members!! But look on the positive side, where could you get all that knowledge you would be assailed with during the evening? I would call it a very reasonable charge!! one thing I bet you would vow to do when you sobered up,and that would be to “kick” Truck Net into touch!!! Mines a pint of bitter to start with,oh! youv’e put a free bar on! very decent of you, stop pushing at the back there Johnnie, what do want? a tray full! for yourself? Cracking shots as always Marcus especially the Smith of Maddiston Scammell 8 wheeler yesterday, regards Dennis.
Hi Dennis would you be implying that I am a greedy ■■■■■■■ or just that I have a big gob maybe both The only time when I become apprehensive is when someone says nice things as then I know they are lying and it will cost me
cheers Johnnie
Seems odd seeing a Coastal Roadways Truck with a roped and sheeted load.
I can just remember seeing them before they changed to the P&O blue with white doors

I thought the same Stupot.I remember them running tankers out of BP Baglan Bay Swansea in the 70s.So they went into P and O,I didn’t know that.

A chap from this way drove for Coastal Roadways, until he had a bad smash in one of their ERF’s near Bridgenorth.
I think Coastal Roadways’ had a yard off the old A48 somewhere around Pyle or Stormy Down, anyway on the right towards Port Talbot. It was one of their drivers that showed me that Leintwardine short cut in the early 70s.
