Not the most salubrious model of the Scania range but we’ve recently bought this (ex T+J Clitheroe) R440 manual Highline, it’s on a 60 plate and done just over 400k. It’s the third R series we’ve bought from them, the previous two a 59reg & a 10 plate, they’ve both been more or less fault free & they’ve all got fitted fridges. Three weeks on and this one’s averaged 8.6mpg on a mix of bulk tipper & ISO tank work, yesterday loaded both ways across the M62. Empty Liverpool to load Middleton, lift off & a loaded one back on at Killingholm, tip Middleton m/t to Traf’ Pk empty to Liverpool with ISO tanks dropping the average 2 tenths from 8.8 on this trip.

Nice but I’m more interested in the F10/F12 in the background

That F10 is our yard shunter which was used by thieves who stole two trucks from our yard to smash through the gates, prior to that incident it was in really good nick. I’ve got this nestling down the yard awaiting some prep for an MOT & IVA test for a UK reg, it’s an F16 500.

I think I’ve seen that before. Very tidy. Looks ready to show?
