You on for MJS now mate?

Desperate times call for desperate measures!!!

Rumour has it that a Liverpool Owner Driver was recently so depressed driving his old beat up Scania that he decided that it was time for desperate measures in order to update his ‘old scrapper’ for a more up-to-date all singing & dancing V8 monster.

Now I must add that what I’m about to relate to you is only ‘hear-say’ but I spoke to him today & he was very, how can I put it, cautious with his answers so it’s almost certainly true. The story goes DJ recently flew to Sarasota in Florida & came back without a kidney, but with a suitcase full of money!!! He went straight from Manchester airport & handed over a chunk of his dosh & his ‘old scrapper’ in payment for a rather nice 620 'Streamliner!!

But this was only the start of his ‘surgical addiction’!! The New Scania turned out to be a 2 pedal Auto so he’s now found that his left leg is more or less redundant, a quick phone call to Sarasota & they’ve now made him a decent offer for his (now redundant) left leg so it’s going!!

So, now for the reason I’m writing this, if anyone is on the lookout for some left footed shoes he’s got plenty, all going cheap & ranging from 14 hole Doc Martins to Puma trainers. Oh, all size 9!!

While I’m on, I’ll share a few picks of his New toy!!

This BTW is the ‘old scrapper’!! (dog rough so it had to go!!)

Here’s a few pic’s of the New 620 Streamliner.

I do rather like the tan leather & built in sat-nav, but looking at all the junk in the passenger footwell I think he’ll be dipping into what’s left of his ‘left leg fund’ to update to a truck with an empty footwell!!!

Ross.

PS, nice truck Dave!!! :smiling_imp:

Hi ross … Ive seen this old reck of a 620 on the docks in liverpool… And its deffo about time that DJ up graded because hes trailing behind other owner drivers on the dock… Who are moving up to digi tachos and euro 4!!! So i can see why he traveled to florida and cashed in on his kidney… Deffo to keep up with some other owner drivers running modern immaculate kit .

Jody, some not so good news from Florida!! The story goes, that the (millionaire record producer) recipient of Mr J’s kidney was making a fantastic recovery until he was released from hospital, on his way home to Miami he was stopped in a queue of trucks being checked by DOT (America’s answer to VOSTAPPO) when the transplant patient inexplicably jumped from his chauffer driven Bently & ran screaming in the opposite direction!! He’s back in hospital and due to start therapy tomorrow.

Ross.

PS, I can’t imagine what the recipient of Dave’s left leg will do when he finds himself involuntarily tapping his left foot whenever he hears a Culture Club record or YMCA!!! :smiling_imp:
