Still working in Greece last month
I notice that there is a 1979 Scania 141 for sale on Toprun with a new cab! Ready to fit. Robert
Here’s the link
Hey, I drove one of this, I had the same flags on the windsceen, but mine had a window in the sleepercab on the right hand, and it was a 420hp. the other were 390hp’s. Mine was new imported from France because of the sleeper window right and at the back. Inporting from France was less expensive as buying in Belgium in the '80’s. We never have been that windows off factory in the sleeper cabs. But why had France and England them ■■? never known.
I started with an 110,111,112 and 112 intercooler later and finished with the 142 and a few months with an 113 360.
Eric,
Stuttgart 142 500bhp that’s a lot of power nowadays, must have been a mighty pulling machine back in the eighties I doubt much would have touched that

Badge been changed? I thought 142’s only went up to 420hp if intercooled
Hey Robthedog, nice pic.
This model is built before and 1986, look it has still the old staps to heaven.
@ Pete smith, you have right 142 up to 420, but here the last year with the new engines, the precursors of
the 143. Were sold as 430 ISO hp’s, but DIN was still 420hp. They had a lot of changes (example, single outlet manifolds and so on) The weakest of the two engines than called 400hp (394 DIN hp), was further used in the
143 400hp DSC14 06. And the 430 became than the 450 or (435DIN hp)
And about me it is not a E chassis too, because I think not that they were built as single drive 4x2 or 6x2.
Fair Traiders like to up date their lorries always a bit , but luckely by them they stay a bit longer on our
country grond.
