Hi Mercman, no Im john.
But Jim (AKA Mr Bull ■■■■■■ had that 143 from new, I took it over when Jim was given a brand new S reg Daf XF Spacecab.
Sadly Jim died about three years ago.
I worked along side Jim for about five years, we used to run together quite alot back then.
He taught me loads of tricks & was a good mate.

Here is a pic of my 143 & Jims Daf, this was taken at the Lazy Trout cafe on the A49 near Craven Arms, Jim saw me with my camera out & came running accross the truck park & just got into the shot!
He was a star. :sunglasses:

RIP Jim (Mr Bull ■■■■■■■

Hi John I am really sad about jim he was a really nice bloke would do any thing for any one. My dad Roger gardiner RIP taught him the ropes when they worked for Churtons of Church Stretton. My dad really liked him a lot. Its weird really when I went for my hgv he was there he said I would fly through but I didn’t it took another go !! He loved his 143 and said if they took him off it he would leave but he stayed there too the end. You would always see him at the shrewsbury carnavel and he looked soo happy. I know I have rabbited on a bit but he was a star.Tony

The best looking lorry ever made

Pat, that’s a fair collection of V8s you’ve had there, impressive stuff, SEV is my favourite. That Solstor motor, was that Dennis Scorer’s motor? IIRC it was hit by a car that launched itself into the air, the damage looks like it had been jacknifed, but if it’s the one I’m thinking about that wasn’t the case?

Only two things to say theres only one V8 . Youre never late with a V8 . Brilliant photos .

nice photo’s of 2’ 3 series scanias the worst thing scania evere done was to stop building the 3 series the 143 can anyone tell me is pat duffy an irishman
