For some reason I associate that model with a firm from Rotherham, was the name Green involved in it somehow?

Leonard Green ?

That’s the one, did he have one/some then?

I definitely prefer this one!

We French did also produce some awful-looking trucks too. One of the worst being probably this Willème S 411, which blends a Sahara cab with a shark-nose bonnet.

Even the plant on the back might baulk at some of the Romanian level crossings I’ve had to negotiate in the past! Not to mention so-called dropped kerbs in Morocco

A really beautiful motor, had to supress a giggle though on reading the cities listed, shades of Only Fools And Horses.

A bit like the slogan adopted by a Kiwi soft drink supplier, “World famous, all over New Zealand.”

Google delivers on this one:
Noisiel is east of Paris, but not as far as Disneyland, in between the 86 and 104.
It was the site of the Menier factory, so I would guess would be as well known as Bournville in the UK?
It is now the office of NestlĂŠ France, and also a tourist attraction.

This Renault had been converted into a 6x4 for use on the premises of the factory of Billancourt during WW II; it works on a charcoal gas generator.

Tipping beetroot in Holland

Wasn’t this bus discussed earlier? The barn find one is being restored IIRC.

A marvellous looking design! But even with air-con, all that glasswork would be tough on the passengers. Perhaps it was designed to run in Norway!

I was thinking along similar lines, but in those far off days the windows (and some skylights) actually opened!

I was thinking along the same greenhouse lines and that the opening orifii ( is orifice of Greek or Latin origin?) would be the only saving grace.
