Why not edit it? That should let you continue if no-one comes to your rescue. I do agree with your last remarks though.
Get yourself another email address then you can reply to yourself!
I don’t think he wants to reply to himself: he wants to add further material in his own recognisable name. He’s right, it is frustrating.
But your comment isn’t entirely without merit, Beaunydel, because it would be possible to create a second persona and carry on signing yourself of as sandway1 - or whatever. ie different username, same real one.
Just reply to yourself once using an alterego and then carry on posting in original username until this new system tells you stop again!
I grew up eating it on a slice of bread, absolutely loved it! Still eat some from time to time…
I used to come past their factory in Lons le Saunier, but there’s a new ringroad to bypass Lons that all traffic has to use now, another bit of “nostalgia” disappearring…

Something Senior might recognise, but although I know he’s old, this is even before his time… I’ll get me coat…
This was posted by Nick Garlick, who is currently in OZ. Anyone ever heard or seen this one before?
Rex did become IPEC (I Pass Every Car [alternatives available]) and did run a small fleet of MANs on overnight express. I’ve never heard that the MANs were GM powered, but I’ll make enquiries.
Lancia 3 RO, or 3 ROn if diesel powered; “n” standing for nafta (diesel oil)
Renault 4080 powered by a 85 bhp 8 litres 4-cyl diesel. In fact, a pre-WW II truck, fitted in 1946 with an up-to-date cab.
And a hard hat mate, you’ll need it
Mix of oldies

Evolution of S.T,S, they’re still going, but today just plain white with the fleet number in green…gone are the famous colours
The Rex Tiger was 6V 92TTA powered. Other MANs were repowered with 8V 71s and VT 903. In at least the Cummins, a 15 speed RoadRanger accompanied the motor. The Yank iron were all retrospectively fitted, not offered by MAN. As was/is often the case, European motors and gearboxes are prohibitively expensive to repair, justifying the fitment of American major components.
The Chinese Six Volvo F 12 was a special order from STG, based near Rennes. I used to meet it regularly 30 years ago. It was certainly quicker on the road than the (c. 1935) Renault ZF with its 85 bhp engine and trailer.
Here’s a 1940 Renault AIB 1. Initially ordered by the French army, and finally used by the Wehrmacht. 19 tonnes GCW, and 85 bhp four-cylinder petrol engine.
Is that a Kenworth with a Daf cab, and an Australian Maggie I see?
Also, I seem to remember seeing a promo video by STG of a double trailer road train. It was made by the MD and featured his young son at the wheel to demonstrate how it would be simple to drive. Can’t remember much more about it now though.
That particular MAN model (with the F8 cab) was offered with Fuller 'boxes and were common in UK. The ones I drove had 13-speed Fullers in and it was the best installation I experienced. The later F90 MAN was offered with Eaton Twin-splitter and again, it was an excellent installation.
