Willème W 180 (1969), powered by a 335 bhp ■■■■■■■ engine and Fuller RTOO 9513 gearbox. One made in 1969.

Willème had to cease in 1971, and was taken over by PRP, who continued to produce the heavy range.

The biggest was the TG 300, produced in 1979-80. Probably only its chassis was Willème.

Its engine was not less than a 516 bhp GM 16V 71. All the transmission was provided by Clark.

12 were sold in China and 2 in Poland.

The one on the left is a true Willème fitted with an AEC engine (AV 700 or 760), while the one on the right is an AEC with a Cottard cab, rebadged Willème.

Ta! :sunglasses:

This one must have been a Centaure, special serie of the Berliet TR 350 powered by a 15 litre atmospheric V8.

NMP

It is a 1953 Berliet GLM 10a, bought from a fun fair operator and now used as a mobile restaurant. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s operational, and has to be carried on a trailed to be moved.

There it is when used for fun fairs.

Labourier, small company based not far from Swiss border, specialised in 4x4 trucks based on FWD licence.

Various Tankers…

A few more, most of them are wine tankers

Final tanker pic…

John (SAVIEM) wrote a long piece on here about French wine takers.

One of his enduring memories was following a red / blue tanker for mile after mile in his little old Foden, the rear of the tank signed Cote du Rhone / Vins du Soleil, it was imprinted on his memory for years.

I knew Id seen it somewhere.it took me ages to find it and post it up for him

He PM’d me that night with the comment “I’ve got tears in my eyes” he’d thought about this tanker for years, and never dreamed he’d see a photo of it…It was a pleasure for me to make such a lovely man really happy…

If you’re up there John, looking down, here it is again my friend

I love the two Italians! Just think that the cab of the blue DAF was launched as soon as 1962!

Most certainly, Les Vins du Soleil and La Grappe exquise were throat-scraping stuff!

Pic 7 shows a 1966 Berliet TLC 8M belonging to Georges Castarlenas, a wine transporter of Toulouse.

Berliet TLC 8 M Castarlénas (1).jpgHere he is again with the same truck. Its tank is in two parts, which were before on his previous truck and trailer, and were fitted on to the semi-trailer’s chassis.

Just before, he had a 1959 Berliet GLR 8M rigid & trailer, which he sold to buy the artic. It’s seen here on the day of his grandson’s (a friend of mine) first communion.

Excellent info Froggy…and coincidence you’re friends with one of the company’s grandchildren…small world eh ?
