If I have no recollection of seen the tractor on French roads, the tipper was used by some firms for some big road and building work in the sixties. Probably a competitor of the Mack B 61 tipper; tiny cab and unpowered steering, must have been hell for its drivers!

Il looks dry all around, so it may indeed be that the piston rings are worn, and part of the compression escapes in the sump.

Or was the puddle deposited by the horse and cart that was parked there two minutes earlier?
