Don’t put it on the curve of the screen either it makes for a smaller vacuum and then the bugger falls off 
it shouldnt be stuck on windscreen should it,or at least not in the wiper sweep.
When I’m unfortunate enough to be driving a DAF I stick my sat nav to the display screen in the instrument binnacle.
Use baby wipes for the sucker and glass cleaner for the window.
