Safety trainers & ankle support

Ahh, these then:

Which is more what I was thinking, and they were on my list as I was going to ToolStation anyway!
Maybe not as breathable as some, but that assumed extra durability is probably better as long as they are comfortable and not too heavy footed. Do you find them heavy?

I’m sure yt03 & kyk’s posts appeared late there, are you 2 on pre-mod!
Cheers for the suggestions, but unless I can try them on first, I’m not risking my money on internet/ebay buys.
I don’t plan on limping for long, so not looking to go over £30 or £40, and also not interested in postal returns! :imp:
Even if long term it would be better value…

Hey E8B, just seen these for 20quid on the ‘Scruffs’ website.
They look ok.
I might even be tempted myself by this stylish example, for when I bring out my ‘2016 Trucker Chique Summer Collection’, paired with a three quarter length denim shorts combo, a hint of white sock top sticking out of the top, polo shirt, AND …accesorised with a new set of retro 80s mirrored shades to complete the ensemble, maybe accompanied by a Euro trucker maverick style bandana, and re cultivate the goatee.
Do you reckon it will fit and maintain my image? :sunglasses:

Well I’m not sure it could be worse than your Burt Reynolds “Smokey and the bandit” look? :open_mouth:
Yes I saw the picture!

And sod white trainers, what are you, a truck polisher. they’d need cleaning…

Don’t mind cleaning them (well the Mrs could chuck em in the washing machine) as I’ve always had to suffer for my fashionable ways through the years, a victim of my own perfection.

Edit. Sorry mate it’s just dawned on me I’m at the talking ■■■■■■■■ stage …again

If I know I’m doing a lot of driving then I wear a pair of these
scruffs.com/safety-footwear … nitro.html
They’re very comfortable, like wearing slippers. You can try them on at any branch of Wickes and they’re only £15.95…Hang on, I paid 30 quid for mine :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

I bought a pair of those, had to take them back after 4 weeks because the stitching gave way.
