SAD NEWS

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time. Take comfort from the fact that he is now out of pain, and remember the good times. All the best. Margaret

Did anyone see the documentary about some kid that had a rare skin disease,he later died, but the film showed him carry out a “bucket list”,things to do before you go,a well known model was his friend, and he went up in a glider, that did make me cry,it takes a real man to cry,it was very sad, this was a few years back now.
The pain he went through to have his dressings changed, what with the risk of infections,he was probably in a better place,i think he was called Johhny, but not sure of the surname?

We had an amazing day for Kenny’s funeral yesterday. You couldn’t get a credit card between people, as the church was so full. He was an incredibly popular young man.(Unlike his Dad!)
People read out stories about him from his days as workshop foreman at South Dublin Ford in Ireland. He was a master technician and all round genius. He was an Aston Villa fan like me and a ■■■■ taker of epic proportions.
His brother in law is an Irish Policeman (Garda) and had arranged an ■■■■■■ of 3 motorcycle officers to guide us to the cemetery. It was a fantastic experience! All followed by a good old Hooley at a pub in Lucan, Dublin. Great day but for all the wrong reasons.
R.I.P. Son.
Thanks folks…

Even the priest had a rip about him being a Villa fan! Cheers buddy. :sunglasses:

Just re-read these lovely posts. And I have realized that I have been spending too much time on here and other websites. It struck me that I haven’t had a chance to grieve yet. So I’m gonna do that now whilst the Mrs is at work and the house is empty. Thanks once again. If I offended anyone in the meantime…I’m a bit sorry! Laters.

Throwing yourself into diversions, such as online forums, is a perfectly normal response to something difficult. We all do it sometimes.

I’m sure it’s healthy to remain somewhat introspective and it’s certainly the right thing to look after yourself at a difficult time. If you need to grieve, that’s a healthy thing to do. In the grieving, I hope you can remember all the good things with joy, much as I know they make the loss seem all the harder.

My love and best wishes to you and your entire family.
