Running bent?

scottishcruiser:
Yogi didn’t work for Nolans, he worked for Breens, 2 diff companies just incase Mr Nolans views the site and thinks your trying to say he makes his drivers run bent .

went past the checkpoint at the end of the m56 today an they had 4 of nolans pulled over

guaranteed to see at least 1 a week stopped :grimacing:

He also gave me a look at his over-speeds on the tacho print out which was an even bigger surprise! Didn’t know trucks could do the speeds shown!

Speed was on this printout you seen was it? Thats an even bigger suprise to me than it was to you.

when in main menu on digitach go to printout vehicle then go to overspeed option.
will print out all overspeeds for each day alongside will also show maximum speed for that day so you could in theory go down big hill at say 100k for 50 seconds no warning but later in the day do 91k fos 65 seconds and will record the 100 you did down hill, believe me i’ve paid the fine for it
the tacho counts in seconds and everything over 60 seconds gets an overspeed warning but the speed is only recorded for that 24hour period so no overspeeds that day then no records of downhill bursts

Talk me through that option. I have a VDO Siemens. I get as far as print out for (the date i want) and then what, press up or down or summat?

does anyone know where YOGI is working?

that’s if he can get a job.

You, Old, Grassing, Inbread. (yogi)

Yogi. aka Miserable, moaning ZB. (Rhymes with Hunt). :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Those Vosa personnel need a good sorting out as well. Stop an Irish waggon on a road in Wales, and talk to the driver in zb-all but Welsh. :unamused: :unamused: It,s a wonder they didn,t start to speak to each other in English, to really confuse him. All they needed to do was snarl “Tacho”, at the guy, like they do in every other country in bleedin Europe. Have a look at it, shake their heads, take a gift off him. Then let him get on with his work. Job done.

Theres another program that was filmed in irelannd about the polish and other forgien drivers running bent who worked for Ballinlards and was broadcasted on irish telly. I never seen it hoping its on youtube but need to find then name of the program 1st.

As for Yogi well I hope he gets what he deserves. If you dont want to run bent then dont just quit keep quiet and quit not go spouting to every vosa ■■■■■■■ going. Ok in todays day and age it is hard to find work but to go spouting ya mouth off is wrong.

All I wanted when i was 16 was to pass my test at 21 and go and work for Nolans running bent. Nowadays vosa are stuffing the job comlpetely bring stupid fines and rules in. Example the mirror guidlines on the scania wtf my scania went for test End of april and passed with old mirros. the old fitter changed mirrors on 2 of the trucks and frankley I find the kerb mirror to be worse and Iam not the only one to say that a few drivers have said the same thing.

If you want run bent its up to yourself but dont take the jimmy riddle or be dangerous about it AND DONT GO BLOWING THE F IN WHISTLE because it causes problems for other people.

This was the origanal posting on here

Yogi is actually my girlfriends uncle, he has given up driving artics and i spoke to him a few months ago at a family gathering, i don’t totally agree with what he done cos he worked for Breen for a few years so why decide to suddenly stop running bent just before you give up driving? surely if you were that against it you’d work for a uk firm instead, i’ve worked for a few Irish firms and yes some like you to do more hours than usual but their not sat in the cab with you holding a gun to your head, basically if i didn’t want to do it i didn’t and the phone would be switched off or just not answered but most would reward you if you did some of the runs

dunno if dave555 is still around on here but he may now where greengrass is
