sorry keith, ive replaced your post. maybe i was a bit hasty.
This is to happy Keith,
I asked the ‘polite question first’ if you read my first post, anyways, not hoping to ruffle your feathers or anything, I would just like to ask, of all the posts on this subject, you seem to be the one with all the negativity. All you did was take a trailer out that wasn’t sealed! Big deal, ive moved hundreds, like it or not, it’s a fact of life, im not saying its right, but I cannot understand your rant on here about it. What are you possibly hoping to achieve?
And whilst were on the subject of security of mail, yep your right stuff does go missing, but you have to look at the millions of items we handle, and when it does go missing, its normally due to a machinery malfunction, and not because some inept royal manger hasn’t insisted that a trailer to be sealed before dep. in the 22 years ive been doing the job, ive never known stuff to go missing whilst in transit, so this also says, that we a also do a good security check on you agency guys, to make sure you are not related to Ronnie Biggs.
You say that I am a ambassador for royal mail? I would like to say that I am very fortunate and lucky to have a good job, and like gazzah says there is a lot worse than driving for royal mail. I switch off from all the royal mail politics and backstabbing, after 22 years you have to!
And finally happy Keith, you think royal mail is bad ■■? you aint seen nothing yet, when the torys get in next year, and they sell off royal mail, I will be wearing a nice new tnt uniform, earning £100 a week less than I am now, things will get REALLY bad, I know because I talk to my customers and what they tell me about the competion, anything that aint royal mail is a crock of [zb]. So until next time,
Merry Xmas
Love you loads

‘… you seem to be the one with all the negativity…’
Flipping heck - I’ve been pushed & squeezed on this till my pips squeeked, gis a break! I’ve been honest & prompt with reply. I’ve also had pm’s of support but others prefer a publicly confrontational approach. Whatever.

‘… All you did was take a trailer out that wasn’t sealed! Big deal …’
Exactly - who is giving a stuff? I chipped into the thread with a reasonable contribution & have had grief & assumptions made upon it ever since.
postman pat:
‘…your rant on here about it. What are you possibly hoping to achieve?..’
If my objective responses to the sometimes insulting & odious questions constitute a ‘…rant…’ - then see it which ever way suits. Maybe consider doing so from a more calm & detatched perspective and away from both the red van & red mist. ‘…Achieve?..’ Accurate, reasonable, factual & objective communication, mate.
postman pat:
‘…you think royal mail is bad ?..’
Thanks, but ‘no’: However, the continuing & somewhat confrontational probing is noted.
Maybe the original poster has got a both a more full picture about the place, its location and its employees by now, which is what decent communication is about, eh.
