Roadchef are paying

That is a different van to the one who got us. How many tattooed ■■■■■■■■ have Roadchef got operating on their site?

The van that tried to block us in had Parking Attendant painted across the doors and 2 orange beacons

I will try the number next time im on nights about 4am to see if its still left on!

GREAT idea ,
every one who starts early/finishes early should take the number and give it a phone! will give it a call 2moro on way to work from call box!

Do it reverse charges as well,it’ll cost the gits a fortune if everybody does it. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Next time you see these vans just block them in. Wonder if they will clamp you then?

Will give the number a ring as soon as I get the chance.

i just tried the number and i got the loverly answer phone…Gave them a wind up message

they got a web site
pcm-uk.co.uk/index.htm
a bit from the site
We are committed to providing a caring, hassle free solution for all of our clients parking needs

Box Shifter:
I’ve always wondered about carrying an angle grinder, :imp: , as I beleive that the clamp is a triangle of metal, secured round the wheel with chain and a padlock. Have a 600w inverter, plug it in and away we go   ■■?Will hide my no and start calling that no day and night :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: !!!

What you want an inverter for?
Use an air powered grinder and connect it to your air tank.

I think bolt cutters would be better though,an angle grinder creates so much noise,as soon as they hear it they’d be on to you.

But,they really are the scum of the earth aren’t they!

Look, a ratchet strap removes them fine. All you have to find is a willing trucker to attatch it to. I can confim it is possible to get a clamp removed without paying a ‘fine or release fee’ to the clamper. Not for everyone i know, just don’t let them get on the fone to ‘confirm’ anything as they only call for backup/help/support.
I’ll just add this, especially if its the small hours and you can get away with it, if you know you are just nipping in for the toilet or for a coffee etc. then park across an exit road or something like that, they then can’t clamp you and they can argue the toss for some sort of fine later.
These guys know quite well what the job entails when they take it on so don’t be afraid to give them what they expect!! I wouldn’t call them scum, they just think they can deal with the situation, most times they can. Not all.

Did not even get that.I just got this number is temporarily unavailable please try later. So I will.

I think that they have changed their number.
We need someone to get clamped so that we can get the new number.

got a bit of payback with Roadchef i got about £25 worth of food on a tray, then left it at the till after they have rung it up told them to book it to Parking control management so its costing Roadchef ,up to now i have done it three times this week so look out Roadchef next week

Oh I like that idea very much!

Why not everyone reading this, do just that??
Load yer trays up & then just “abandon” them … :sunglasses:

Before the weeks out, it’ll cost Road Chef £££££££££££££’s

I got clamped a few months ago - services on M40. Pulled in at 1am, and being a bit ‘green’ didn’t think the attendant would still be there so didn’t pay.

Woke at 6 to find a big sign (as above, same company) and a £350 release fee.

I asked the guy why I wasn’t woken to pay the £12 parking fee - as I was in the truck. He said the police didn’t want them doing this as drivers might drive off having not had their 9 hour break etc etc

What a load of bo11ox. That same night he told me they’d done 14 trucks in the same park, most were foreigners.

Im sure the law states that its perfecly ok to remove the clamp provided yo do not damage it & return it to it rightfull owner…

Never done it but would certainly love to just make sure your legaly parked when you return the clamp…

i have removed a clamp on a truck before!!..i got clamped while in my own truck a few months ago…I jacked up the truck where the clamp was removed the wheel and put the spare on…Only when i got home i picked the lock rang the clamp firm and told them where the clamp was undamaged havent heard anything about it yet!!

Theres an idea :bulb: if you get clamped, it’ll be cheaper to call out the tyre man with a spare tyre and wheel, then ring the clamping firm and tell them they can have the clamp back plus wheel and tyre :imp:

or call out the tyre man and get him to remove the wheel then in therory the wheel isnt attached to the truck so the tyre person(musnt be sexist!!)maybe able to remove the clamp
Wonder how this would stand as the clamp then isnt attached to the truck just a loose wheel.

When i was clamped they rand a chain through the step between the axles and through the wheel itself.

Say they marked your wheels and get a claim in to polish them up

Greedy vermin.

if they have marked your wheels then as far as im concerned its criminal damage.

Best one i saw was on M62 when the clampers decided to clamp an Irish Scania.
Steer axle had super singles so they had to fit the clamp to the middle axle.
The driver was super cool just took one look at the clampers smiled got in his cab lifted the axle and drove off. Oh we laughed at that one.
A friend of mine has a small collection of wheelclamps that he has removed as they cannot charge you for the clamping only the removal so he removes the clamp then rings the clampers and tells them where they have to go to collect it and informs them about the storage fee.He hasn’t paid for any clamp release fees and still owns four.
Don’t get conned out there

Allegedly a sturdy set of Bolt Cropper’s will cut straight through the padlock that secure’s the Wheelclamp.

So I’ve heard anyway
