Retro Show Gaydon 2013

Unterflur:
Just arrived home after starting near Gatwick (thanks a lot to douglas again for his great hospitality) at 6 o’clock in the morning.

This show was really great!
We saw many lorries we only knew from the internet and which had been seen never before in germany at a festival (hope maybe one day a few come over to us).
We couldn’t believe that this show with nearly 200-250 lorries is one of the smaller shows in england.

The weather wasn’t too bad at all with no rain on saturday and only a little on sunday.
The whole trip was without any problems or breakdowns and all the british people were really, really friendly.
For me every liter of diesel it was worth!

Last bot not least a big “Thank you” to the steelboys, who organized this show!

Great to see you guys, glad the trip went well, loved the trucks, enjoy the DVDs

Regards!
Jörg

Glad you enjoyed it, you may need To u tube Stobarts trucks and trailers to appreciate our version, as we take the p!?s a bit

There is a fair few pictures appearing on Flickr.

I didn’t go but from the pictures (and I may have got the wrong impression) the show seemed more Truckfest’esque this year - i.e. more modern vehicles than one might expect from a Retro show.

Maybe that was the intention ?

This must rate as one of the smallest drawbar combinations to be seen at Gaydon.

Just the right size for Harry Gill.
A small amount of roping & sheeting involved , and not a lot of handballing involved .
Therell be no nights out, and maybe the farmer might give him half a dozen fresh eggs after unloading. .......but ,.......it might be a different story to tell if hes sent to some Riding Stables instead .  :unamused: :grimacing:
