He who pays the piper calls the tune. Drivers are regularly hauled in the office for bad driving. It’s their truck at the end of the day, office monkey or not.
Using retarder (or exhaust brake) when running solo is, well, retarded.
Never had a problem myself. Can you really not use an engine brake without locking the wheels every time. Perhaps you’re not as good as you think you are.

Wrong, they advise against it. Personally, I use the speed limiter when in 30 zones as it caps my speed but gives me more control. 40 and above and I use cruise.
