New to Meadows Freight,in January 1995.

I drove one when I worked for Dentressangle… A nice truck with lots of space…

A mile better than the Premium I had after…

I drove this for a few weeks, from new, around Jan 95.Didnt like it,and swapped her for an 89 F12.Very poor interior lighting I found, and so had to stick a couple of extra lights inside. No storage around the seats/lockers for gloves, bits and pieces etc.

Still working by the look of it, in Daventry this week

I was surprised when Renault went in Volvo for driveline and running gear, as they were the bits they done well. Now electrics that was always a whole different ball game.

That’s a nice looking example any way, I have quite a soft spot for them

I know that truck it’s owned by the bloke who looks after the trucks I drive, he does a bit of haulage with it, he also has a 143 Scania.

Here is a special one, like it looks good

I drove this 360hp V8 Italian registered (hence the white stripes on the front bumper) Renault for just over a year, IIRC around 1985ish.

What have they done to the roof ?

Hi rob the dog,

L768 was one of the first vehicles I was involved in selling via Willodene at Wellingborough when I worked for Renault.

It was an abortion of a truck specced up on a 4x2 chassis with an extension to the end and a rear lift axle on the end. The operator wanted a vehicle to use with all his trailers and the dealer didn’t want to stand the cost if he cancelled. I know after the original operator had it for about 6 months he sold it to an operator in Shropshire iirc , who ran it on container work

That truck left a legacy on me!!!
