Had new Volvo,Man, Mrec, and Renault on demo last few weeks and for me the Renault is the best of the lot.I know Volvo and Renault share most of the same bits and Iam going to get slated for this but the Renault just seems better put together.
interesting reading that, I liked the later model premiums, and have heard that the new Renault is an improvement on that. Just don’t think they look as good. Now seeing the STS I’m rapidly becoming a bit of a fan of the T cab.
maybe I should get a quote on the big cab as the boss has, asked me to look around for deals on new units and we can work with a left ■■■■■■.

They seem good but i’m not sure it would be the new lorry i would have
I wasn’t struck on them, but that STS one has wetted my appetite, and along with the good reports from those that have driven them and I did have a look round a flat floor one last year and could only pick a couple of faults and there were few nice features.
I’ve now been asked to look for a new truck, and maybe I should consider a Renault.
But then my experience with Renaults go back to, G cabs to Majors then early premiums and finally with the later Premiums, so I’m no stranger to them.

So are you going to take a t range then
Now there’s a $60 million question I’ve been asked to look around, but so far only looked at Volvo as that’s what I’d really like, so I haven’t given the boss any other quotes.
I think I could be swayed into getting a Renault, but I think it would take a proper test in one, (I have got a soft spot for them though, spent today driving our S reg 18 tonne to Le Mans, no cruise control, no air con and under powered, but I’ve actually quite enjoyed it )
Sorry for the non committal answer though. Anyway I just do the research my boss signs the cheques.

I too drove Renaults for alot off years, well we did work for the same firm, and we are brothers

Whilst at Trruckfest I took the opertunity to get a look at the T range, and had a good chat with the Renault bloke. He told Me that although the driveline electrics and chassis are Volvo, the Cab is unique to Renault, I thought it was the Volvo cab just paneled differently. Dont know if anyone else had heard that.
I was impressed with Trange that I had a look round, but having said that were I work have bought a shed load off FH4’s and they are really nice, from what I see, any other maker is going to have to go along way to better the FH4, almost wish I hadnt got a new Scania last year

I know alot off guys swear by the DAF but I hate them, just cant get my head round that quarter light bar on the side windows, every time you look in the mirrors there it is in the way. TGX is a nice truck, had one for a couple off weeks on demo 2 years ago, 480 the tall cab what ever letters that make it, drove like a Volvo, but had more room to live in. I was impressed
One of Matthews park in France, the stripe round the cab seems to stay straight from whatever angle you look at it, closest look I’ve had at from the outside, looks quite well put together.
