at the very beginning i found it a bit “strange”. What i am doing now is keeping in memory key objects around. say you going on a bay and you keep in mind that this bay is in after a free bay after a green trailer number ■■■

Ooops make a ■■■■ of one - was told to put it on bay 75, three empty spaces either side, ample room, it shouldn’t of been a problem and all was going well until I realised that I was actually reversing onto bay 74, tried to correct it mid-reverse but ended up somewhere betwixt and between, it took a good few shunts to get back on track but it looked bad another for another driver offered to help me out
I got it there safely in the end so no big deal but with hindsight I should of pulled forward and started over
I often have to have another squint at the bay numbers and don’t always find them that easy to see in the dark with flood lights casting shadows… Anyone else ‘lost the bay’?
I have been following your progress with interest young padawan from being just a youngling and getting your first badge to your stituation now of refining the Jedi art of articulated vehicle reversing.
Do not worry, at first im sure you where concerned that you didnt have enough midichlorians to master this art but by now should realise that its all in the initial positioning and trusting ones judgement. Going in too deep can always cause issues at first but one must learn to visualise the manouvre, get her as straight as possible and she will slide in nicely, this approach also works with coitus. In fact its why truckers are the best lovers.
Overtime you will notice how with very little steering input letting the trailer react a bit first can help with even the tighest bays, then blindside reverses can be attempted when one only has to watch the front of the trailer to know whats happening.
Trust the force Mick there is no try there is only do, remove all fear as that leads to the dark side of working as office based planners who are nasty siths (sith is just a jumbled up word for poop, well not poop but I cant say ■■■■, ■■■■ is ok though).
Good luck and may the force be with you.
If it helps one is sometimes made to look good when a new youngling arrives and makes a right lash up of it.
Excellent post Dave - both funny and informative glad the word ■■■■ is permitted because I can say that I ■■■■■■ myself laughing reading it !!! Cheers

Good tip cheers - still find that things look different when looking back at them from the cab - I need to learn to slow down and study what is around a bit more before starting - it is coming together slowly, I am just impatient and want to look like a ‘proper’ driver who gets it right first time every time
Reversing normally is hard enough but in the dark is another thing
