Anyone remember a Promotor driver, called Graham ?, but known as “Blue”? He was in his 60’s when I used to see him (early 1990’s). I think he lived in Maidstone, his 2nd missus was a lot younger than him. Short, thinset, smoked roll-ups! (him, not his missus!). Smashing bloke, did all over including M/E, gave me a lot of sound advice when I started over the water. TIMBO, I’ve pm’d you.
brookie.
This was me tipping at an exhibition in Teheran, with a Pro Motor step frame when working for Expo Freight in 1983.

Hi brookie, it sounds like the guy who I was making enquiries about this time last year. If it is then it’s Graham Bertram who was a really nice old fella. If you look at page one of this thread there is something about Graham on there.
Thanks mushroomman,
I should’ve read page 1
! Yep, sounds like it may have been him, a real easy-going fella. Sorry to hear he’s passed away. A shame he could’nt share his many memories with us on here. R.I.P Graham.
Regards,
Mark. (brookie)

Childerditch was the engineering workshops for Pro-Motor but was by that time owned by Ontime Automotive. They prepared a lot of vehicles for exhibitions and shows.
The registration was the Essex number from that area. Many will remember Roger Albert Clark, Mikkola and Waldegard with the ■■■ and OOO registrations

Yea, I did a motor show in Brno, Czech, in 1994, he and two other Promotor lads were there and we had a week on it, all three lads were top notch.
