Why are lorry drivers so cac on popmaster ?
Considering that for most of the day/night,all they do is sit on their arris listening to music, you would think a near max score should easily achievable.
That chap that was on today. 9 points for christ sake . . . embarrassment to the profession !!
i think you might find that some people lose on purpose to get the “one year out” t shirt.
Oh yes carpark catchphrase was awesome. I guessed most of them right as well, long before the contestants. It was far to short in my opinion though. Sometimes only lasted for 5 minutes by the time Moyles had finished rabbiting

When I’ve tried it I eaither get high 20s or nothing at all
He is about the only one on radio 2 I listen to now
Same here. Chris Evans might be a very nice guy for all I know but fact is I cannot abide his radio persona; same goes for Jeremy Vine but I suspect he’s a total ■■■■ off the radio as well. Steve Wright stopped being even remotely listenable about fifteen years ago so apart from Ken Bruce I am now mostly a Radio 4 listener; convenient actually because Ken Bruce is on at the same time as “Wittering Women” or whatever they call it.
As for Popmaster; been on twice and won both times, but never got the 3 in 10. In my defence, one was the Spice Girls and the other band was so obscure (for which read modern!) that I can’t even remember what it was!
I’m with sidevalve, radio gets turned off at 12 after Ken. Shame, cos it should be quite good listening to people tell us what they think of various issues. 'Swhy we come on here after all
I don’t particularly like any of them but I like the debates on vine, dont like him but those debates sometimes do get very heated, makes the day go quicker
tango boy:
Makes me laugh after the quiz cos he always plays a long song.
It’s obvious he’s gone for a ■■■
The reason it’s usually a long song is simply that the producers don’t know how much time the quiz will take, so they have to plan in a long-ish record just in case. They also have a stand-by list of various shorter records, so that regardless of how much time is left, they can always slot in a song of suitable length. That’s why Ken always gets a bit anxious if they go to a tie-break and things start to drag on a bit (there are loads of long songs, not so many really short ones).
Maybe they should just get Steve Wright to talk (or sing) over the end of it, then they wouldn’t need to worry about the length of the song…

They should get Steve Wright to jump out of the 14th floor window.
See, i like Chris Evans and Ken Bruce, Vine is good for a laugh, Steve Wright… YAWN!! (except for the golden oldies bit, sometimes some class tunes on there!!) and i do like a bit of Simon Mayo!
I miss Moyles, he was good… BUT most of all I miss Mark & Lard…
I’ll listen to Chris Evans and Ken Bruce and depending on the mood Jeremy Whine through to Steve Wright, other than if I’m in range I’ll have Heart FM on
But I do make a point if I remember for Ken Bruce
