Cheers … Havnt had one on for quite a while now, keep meaning to ask them about it, hoping to do some tipper work soon now i’ve got the gear, only ever loaded them so will be a new experience…Saaamon your job sounds awesome mate from your posts on here, you’ve had a lot of variation with your firm haven’t you? awesome stuff man.
Cheers mate, its a pretty good job to be honest, sometimes take it for granted really, their very oldskool which has its good and bad points… Its just such a shame they dont go abroad, they use to go and still can but they choose not to because for them its more hassle for the same money.
You seem like you’ve got a tidy little number, family run outfit, decent lorry and regular scotch runs.
Yeah same with mine, they used to go over the water but as you say, just more hassle for same money so they got out of europe a few years ago. I would like to try it but I doubt that will happen now.
Yeah it’s not bad, I still enjoy it but its a means to an end for me now as I’ve decided I’m going travelling in November.
I see you put something about a change the other day so assumed you were going travelling… Where abouts you going? Will you return to driving or is this it?
Whats it like working for culina, they have a yard not far from me.

Good kit, easy clean work mainly RDC stuff with collections too. As long as you keep your head down under the radar and keep out of trouble they leave you alone. I do 5 on 3 off with 25 days a/l. Not many nights out at our place but that does vary from depot to depot and we are salaried 48 hrs. I take you are close to Haverhill ?
HTH.

Haverhill, I cannot understand why you approach the gate to say your collecting and then you have to reverse out and park up to walk to the traffic office. Very weird

I was chatting to one off your Manchester drivers old fella barry on the ferry, really nice bloke who done his fare share in his time. He was telling me about the job saying to apply.

South east Asia first of all for a few months then a flight from Malaysia to buenos Aries and just travel around South America making my way to Rio for the World Cup in June and then when I run out money I’m going to get across to Australia to work.
I will drive a truck again, I want to keep my eye in but I’m hoping its not in this country lol
It was either travelling, deposit for a house, or buy a truck. I think I’ve made the right decision hopefully
