Loading at Latina South Italy last week

Past my test in December. First lorry was Yellow Peril.

In March I was upgraded to the 63 plate.

Then last weekend I was given this amazing 15 plate FH4 to drive.

My latest tractor. I’ve got to say it’s the best I’ve driven yet. The only fault I can find is the mattress is a bit crap. Nothing that a memory foam topper won’t sort though.

Looking better than the rest of the fleet, missing deflectors, sunvisors, miss matched doors…

I know where you’re coming from there. The fleet manager tries to stay on top of it but unfortunately the majority of the drivers don’t give a monkeys about their trucks. If I ever have to drive one of the others you can guarantee the inside will resemble a 1970’s pub floor. I will never understand how folks can live in a truck like that.

The other day the night driver took mine out and it came back in a right bloody state. I wouldn’t dare bring someones weekly residence back in that state.

anyway, they’ve taken the Volvo off me and given me a Merc MP4. It’s a 2545 Streamspace. Certainly hasn’t got the space inside or lockers that the volvo had but overall it seems a nice drive. No bloody fridge though.

It’s the only Merc tractor in our fleet. So if you see it, give me a flash and I’ll send one back. (Lights, not John thomas. Unless you’re a female driver then feel free to flash away!!!)

Know what your saying on the fleet front. I work at spr trailer services. My van has the “mercenary” plate in the screen.

Saw one of those new 16 plate FM they’ve just got. One already is missing a few buckles on the curtain and the run under bars are all dented.

wow a dennis remember my only time i drove one took a nearby fire truck driver to show me how to turn her of .foot under accelerator and lift up

That doesn’t surprise me, they don’t have a brilliant reputation around here from what I can gather.

Iirc a rumor went round a couple of months ago that someone left the handbrake off on a new volvo. And it did a fair bit of damage when it rolled away…

That must be an Immingham thing last Monday in DSV an MAN decided to make it’s own way across the yard and into the loading bay :astonished:
