but we got a good price for a 14 year old Daf which went to another od who wont buy anything with a digital tacho. He’s also a Daf fan so a result.Why the negativity towards digi tacho’s? I’d prefer my trucks to be old skool, manual gearboxes etc but I think the digi tachograph is one advance that was great. I certainly wouldn’t want to go back to analogue.
Nor would I mate, this time last year only the 8w was a digicard and my boss didn’t like it, preferred the analogues in the other two. No analogues now and my boss is actually getting to like the digis. He did a dcpc course on digis before I worked for him, God knows what the “trainer” taught all day…No knowledge of manual entries, but told you have to down load the driver card in the vehicle they use. No mention of the remote handheld card reader even though he took his along for advice on how to use it. Didn’t know anything about doing a printout to sign for infringements. He’s not the CPC holder by the way, his Dad is but he has asked me in the past if I’d be interested in doing the “real” CPC.
