Nice part of France you’re living in.

Not far from Samro I guess ■■

About 15kms away. Not much left of samro these days unfortunatly

Have they moved ■■

Back in the late '90’s I picked up a brand new trailer from there when I worked for Dentressangle…

Pretty much gone to the wall, there is still a bit of activity as some of the sites were taken over by another company ( Trouillet ) but certainly, nothing, like the 90’s! I have not seen much in the press about them but I seem to remember that the new company were having problems too! and closed down some more sites in the region. Some of their problems were Nobby D related, a big decline in his business, meant less for them, eggs in one basket springs to mind, a massive part of their turn over was for norbet (I think) . did you work for NB UK or france?

I have the same unit all the time but different trailer depending on particular job.

My current temporary bus !

I play with this Tonka toy.

That ain’t a truck, please tell us that is your farewell photo and you are off to here…ceforum.co.uk/tags.php?tag=jcb

I know a lot or drivers prefer Scania’s or Volvo’s, but I do like a nice MAN lorry, hows the interior?

Been driving this aswell, mainly with a rotary screen bucket attachment. One or two on here will know what I mean…

Well I had a Scania before this and I prefer the MAN, more spacious inside and more comfortable to drive and sleep in, proper full size bed unlike the Scania where you have to put the seats forward and build it up. Interior feels better quality but that could be the spec, the Scanias we have are basic fleet spec.

I would like to have the Passenger seat fold into a table like the Scania though. This one has a fold out table from the coolbox which means you can’t move about the cab unless you fold it up again. Can’t fault it otherwise.

Latest training truck, can’t fault it, perfect truck to drive.

You will have to change your avatar now buddy.
I’m glad you like the new truck and the interior is good, sounds like a decent set up, especially with having a proper bed.

My brother-in-law is an owner operator, specialising in moving specialised plant, and he has just bought one of the last Magnums produced, he said he bought it purely because he’s 6’5" spends weeks on the road and wants to be able to stand up and have a decent living area, something he didn’t have in his Globetrotter.

I know that once I get passed I will have to go on agency for a few years, but I would ultimately like to end up driving in Europe in either a MAN or a Volvo.

Here’s a more recent of my truck at the Anglican cathedral Liverpool.
