Long time no speak my friend,I hope you are keeping well and out of trouble!.Here is a picture of a KI-Gas pump and one of the starting procedure from a grey fergie I think, whilst I was looking for these images I discovered that the KI-Gas system was used to prime the fuel system on Merlin engines as fitted to the Spitfire’s, what date is that Speech House rally and will Immigration give me a visa for the day if I am able to attend? Thanks a bundle for the photos- I was surprised to see how accurately I had remembered the operating plunger! Except for forgetting that it was spelt Ki-GasS!!! Maybe I don’t have Alzheimers after all.
Speech House gathering is to be on Sunday,11th September. That nice leylandlover will sign you in under my visitor’s visa providing you can negotiate the hordes of armed sheep. Just don’t mention the bear.

Does anyone have any pictures/memories of Perkins Engines fleet vehicles and factory?
I particularly remember their Seddon tractor-units, Also, as a youngster, I can recall trying to look through the factory
fence in the hope of catching a glimpse of the test-trucks.

have vague memories of maroon/dark red Seddon 32/4’s in the mid 70’s would that have been Perkins?
Not sure when they changed their livery, but I know they were originally red(ish) but changed to dark blue. Would certainly
have been blue in the late 70’s.

I’ve got a feeling that earlier vehicles in the fleet were a darker shade of blue. Also remember them having dropside
trailers - usually 30ft if I remember correctly.
