It might be bs but it shouldn’t be. I’ve seen plod making folk remove tints from side windows because visibility is impaired so it shouldn’t be ok to reduce your visibility with a curtain.
It’ll come one day. Just not this one.
Yes Mick this is the point that the judges at the TNUK High Court [emoji6] are missing. It’s not about the curtains (fill yer boots, they don’t bother me) its the issue of visibility and there will be a crackdown, pathetic as that may be

Obviously never had a decent lorry with curtains fitted, never once had an issue with visibility.
Just the usual from jealous drivers acting like snooty children because others have nice motors.

Oh, and I’ve passed VOSA countless times since this dung was posted, strangely enough they didn’t fine me for this made up offence.
I reckon there are much more serious things wrong with this job and industry than worrying about how far a ■■■■ curtain is pulled forward.
Visibility? It’s a bit like the rule of now having to strap down a pallet of cardboard in a tautliner (that you can just about pick up with your hands) in case it suddenlly crashes through the headboard taking your cab off and killing the driver and for good measure two pedestrians.
It’s only applicable in the world of h&s theory not in the world of reality.

If you disagree and don’t like your curtains pulled forward because you think you can’t see, fair enough …don’t ■■■■ do it, simples. 
Ok I know it’s a bit of a joke on here me and the frilly curtain thing, I don’t mind it. 
I do not NEED to explain things, but if I did…, The fact is, I have issues with bright light in my eyes, and have done since a boy.
The sun visors down all day and the side windows shaded help me with that.
I have had numerous hgv medicals, stated it and passed.
The same reason I wear shades a lot of the time, not because I am trying to look like Joe Cool the smooth trucker.
If this latest addition to the h and s bullcrap rules IS genuine, so be it, I will need to adapt, but until then …

I’m not fussed either way for curtains, frilly or otherwise. Each to their own, I just think it’ll not be long before its an offence. Like I’ve already mentioned about tints being a pull by plod. Curtains will eventually follow. Think back 20 years and no one did a walk round check, now it’s frowned upon if you don’t have minutes on your card to show you’ve done it. Goalposts move and they will on this one so all I’m saying is be warned.

Mate, believe me, nothing surprises me anymore in this ■■■■ ed up job, about imposing plain bloody silly rules and regs, and banning every ■■■■ thing they can think off to justify their existence in their non jobs.

Saw a dvsa on the roundabout at Bob Dunn Way in Dartford this morning. Well I say I saw him, but I struggled with my peekaboo curtains. Topped out at 43 ton and he decided to pull an empty tipper behind me, so I’m calling rdc ■■■■■■■■ on this one

Depends how far you are in touch with your feminine side mate. Last guy I saw with that shade of pink was Julian Clary, in the wife’s ‘Celebrity Homes’ magazine.
