Peak District.

Ah, the days when Rodney had work to do besides cleaning and polishing his car! At least he took photograph’s, something that I regret not doing now.

HaHa! Could well have done Chris, I will ask him as he lives virtually next door to me, but in a far posher house than a mere tipper driver of course! :sunglasses:

I think fergy drives a 14 litre rest cab ,the 11 litre above is a very rare day cab not many e or ec day cabs were made ,the one above could be ex wainwright s from ashby de la zouch ?

The ERF truck belongs to pete hodson from Whaley bridge, he also has the 14 litre erf with the dark red cab
fergy is back on the tanks for lomas

that’s the one if you want a closer look I will be welding the body next week

TIPIT:
Who else remembers these ran by Joe Bratt brother of Dave Bratt with the yellow ERF flats, they had the yard Heap Transport moved into.

And can someone tell me if Earl’s Cement was an off shoot of Blue Circle.
This must have been one of the glamour wagons in it’s day.

And another good wagon of the Peak district.

Some cracking pictures Barry. Have you any of Rogers Ardern’s tippers ? Thanks Sam.

Some absolute crackers Barry, absolute ■■■■! :sunglasses: A few of which I remember well. The octopus of Goodwin and Forbes was ex Hoveringham based at Dene quarry Cromford. It was involved in a head on crash with one of Alan Newton’s F7s on the Cat and Fiddle one Saturday morning after a flash snow storm. It was parked in the yard for months before towed to Eric Williams yard for scrap.

The Tarmac liveried Octopus was photographed at Cawder quarry Matlock. I never went during its heyday sadly but love the pics that surface now and then, many thanks for snapping it. The DS Octopus tanker is a good un too. They didn’t have many of them, maybe two I think.

If you have any more please post them mate! And here’s a few of Roger Aderns for Derbyshire Foden.

i’m feeling very ancient now bonkey , it seems like yesterday when those lorries were running around . i remember walter gill well with that erf chapman bros from chelmorton had erf six wheelers very similar .walter had a bonneted comet ex corwen , it was very fast for it’s time and i think he had a lad cabbed comet before the erf . cheers , dave

Cheers Bonkey. I remember my Dad going with Roger to fetch them constructors with the smaller cabs on.
