hi guys, its me, im now the proud owner of f888, firstly thanks for the positive comments, i bough her in 01, in a verry poor state, had to replace n/s a piller and lots more!! i retrimed the interior, re-wired her, sprayed her and added side and rear windows and all acceseries all myself, that photo was t/fest shepton mallet 07 i belive, shes a bit better now, have polished tanks and ally wheels, not bought 1’s, done by me, as for the light bar, why pay all that money (and have the same as every one else!) when it can be made yourself and add charicter! shes rustick, i do round timber haulage, (and yes she works EVERY day!!!) its a hard life for her, but its what she was made for! will try and post some pics, when i get time, and work out how!! im more at home with spanners than a computer!! haha! off to load now and run up to leister from the new forest, weekends are too short! feel free to flash and give us a wave, like most 3 series drivers do, truckon steady boys!

Aint got a clue i’m afraid, just toured with the fella driving Binnsey’s motor
Apparently, Paul is having the cab stretched on the Transcon. As far as I know he still has the DAF too.
Hi people, As you probably gathered by my username i am one of the BINNS family, I am pauls son!
Just signed up as i saw a couple of people at truckfest that mentioned the site and they said a few people were askin questions but no-one really know the answer!? well if you have any questions with regard to the trucks ie: transcon daf 3600 or the two scania’s then i will be happy to tell you what i can!
Just from what i have seen of this post there are a couple of unanswerd questions…
The Transcon And the DAF 3600 are still around, the transcon was getting abit tatty (well some would say its immaculate bearing in mind it still works but my dad didnt seem to think soo) , The DAF 3600 is having the turbo replaced this week after having a full engine rebuild (by arthur spriggs lads in rushden after covering almost 3million klms!!) this included fuel pump re-haul! we then use it for a couple of months again and went to have it rolling roaded and set up as something wasnt right. All done and rolling road gave us results of 370 hp but on the way back it went bang!! So we have eventually foun another Turbo and should be fitted in the next couple of days and hen back on the road!
As for the Two SCANIA’S (once green)
PBH 2R Was bought by kenny fry in ireland (if anyone knows the whereabouts of this truck then please let me know!)
F888 BVV as you know is now owned by Phil Waters in Southampton!
any questions then please ask! BINNSY
