Anyone recognise the ERF ■■
No idea who it belongs to now but looks like one of Thory’s from Peterborough/Whittlesey old ones.
Could well be “Kempston” similar looking motor.

Not had a Rhys Davies motor on for a while.
Not likely to be any new ones either, by the sound of it, since they went into administration earlier this month. It seems that the new owners who bought it last year, aren’t actually supporting it

Yeah bad news Chris.
Rhys Davies Logistics was acquired by Cathay Investments Limited as recently as October 2019, and operated alongside other Cathay businesses such as Amethyst Logistics. This was the scene at the industrial estate in Wellesbourne yesterday, near Amethyst’s warehouse:
Thanks for the pics Chris.

Dont think we have had a J.W.Owen motor on before, cant make out where they are from on the door ■■
Hello again DEAN ,ive had computer problems ! but alls well now ,that ERF from Stoke on Trent looks like J F Longman from Burslem would see them at Shrewsbury and Oswestry markets i think they had their own abbatior as well .
That J W Owen ERF with the sleeper pod is ex Cadwallader ,and they used that on the continent ,that Owen i think was from the Newtown area ,thank you Trevor
I also had computer problems Trevor, great when they are working, bugger when they are not !
Thanks for the info on those 2 motors and
i still miss not seeing Cadwalladers motors on the road. I think Poole/Cherbourg was possibly there busiest route as they were always on
Truckline ferries.

“Ray Smyth” Hi Dean, Great info and pictures of Elddis Transport. I seem to recall a transport company quite a few years ago
that was called Siddle C.Cook. Somebody mentioned that it was re-named to Elddis if you take a squint at the
reverse spelling. Was I dreaming ? Was somebody winding me up ? or perhaps it was true ■■
Best wishes to you and yours for 2021.
Cheers, Ray Smyth.
preety sure thats right ray, also elddis did/do build caravans. went to their yard many years ago in consett and i’m preety sure the transport yard and caravan builders were next to eachother …hth…
