George Fischer +GF+. Do pipes and fittings for utilities, not sure what else. Think they used to run hi-cube drawbar set ups.
Had a depot you could see from the Dartford crossing.
Cheers. Colin.

Hi Dean. The red FH16 750 belongs to Karl Jones & Son of Fairview, Pengam near Blackwood.
Karl took the business over from his father Harry, who ran ERFs and MANs. They run quite an impressive fleet.

Alf Arrowsmith’s yard was in Cheswardine next to the Fox and Hounds pub, they have packed in now but I think there is still an F88 in the shed, a very early model. I do not know what has happened to Mac’s Lad Dodge cattle truck since he passed away, Cheer’s Pete

Morning Dean,
Neeley Transport was from Granby Avenue in Garretts Green B-ham, I think they are now based in Stechford. They used to run Daf2800’s.
C.Brown steels are based at the top of Pedmore rd Dudley, a big ERF user and they had a small dealership Cebron? at the rear of their works, Daf users now.

“Drop and Go” trailer Dean, similar to the one below. With the trailer closed up(for getting into places with limited access) there is probably not enough weight on the drive to trigger the midlift.

Thanks for the explanation Colin.

Pete.

Hi Dean,
The Irish Daf removal artic belongs to Oman moving and storage from Kildare…they took over a very well known and established company from Dublin Beverly Smyth…in all fairness very modern thinking company and very well turned out trucks…I think someone in the company had something to do with another well known company from Cork Nat Ross who were part of Eurovan.

Regards Mark
