Hi Dean,
I think that’s the 1632 Merc that was owned by the notorious McLennan twins from Port Talbot? They did alot of work for Clodes,s Shipping,They were based on Swansea Docks.

Hi Andrew and dean ,Andrew zoom up close its definitely McLennan,s the driver looks familiar,McLennan,s volvos the one on the far left is Ray Davies ex blue line cheers John

Hello Dean the green Scania is ex Williams bros ,wondering if it up with Cadwallader of High Ercall nr Shrewsbury ,they had a few ex Williams motors ,thank you Trevor

There are ways around it Carryfast but its gonna be chaos with the extra traffic. I wonder how many years
it will take to rebuild that bridge ?

Hopefully they’ll replace it with a proper suspension bridge in which case the Golden Gate only took 4 years from start to finish and the Verrazano 5 years and another 5 to add another deck to it.Although the impossible in the form of the Humber took a bit longer. :wink:

As I said a lot of the traffic using that stretch doesn’t originate from the along the Med coast it drops down from Turin or from the Simplon using the A26 so much of that at least will probably just use the A 7 and A12 instead and the other Ventimiglia etc traffic will just divert onto the SS1 using the Guido Rossa which ironically is actually a much better bridge crossing than the Morandi anyway.At least that’s how I’d probably deal with the closure.So probably no big deal at the end of the day and ironically might even split the combined traffic streams enough to make the Morandi route pointless.

Yes Rhys Davies from Taffs Well just outside Cardiff…Delyn were a manufacturing company somewhere in south Wales I can’t remeber where…the unit is Rhys Davies also…they ran a lot of Transcons back in the day.

Freddie the fly and his son Gareth the gnat,they had another partner driving for them can’t remember his name ,I’m not sure if his initial was part of the name Fred & e :question: :question: :question: ,I know he finished and Gareth took over
