Hi…I’m pretty sure the Blue & White Volvo F12 with the fridge trailer on the previous page is one of our old motors ( Fowler Welch ). I don’t know who D Jenkins is though, maybe the next owner or maybe a subbie. I’ll ask some of our long serving drivers if they can remember. Great picture though, thanks again for posting.

Hello DEAN ,many thanks for this Entress DAF …in which Dad seems to think it was with a Talybont driver …and duly passed to Roberts of Knighton ans based their …a similar DAF of Entress and coupled to a tautliner hauled out of the former Smiths Industries plant at Ystradgynlais .
Super shot of the John Beynon Evans DAF from Llanmartin …they hauled out of the Orb works and Monsanto chemicals Newport and did a lot of continental stuff …along with the Bell port in Newport …remember chatting to one of their drivers at Hoover in Merthyr who had just loaded up …
Bill Clayton (Kelvedon) had a few Crusaders …as a lad can see them now taking part at the Risca carnival …Clive Price are from somewhere between Brecon and Hay on Wye …in season they hauled apples into Bulmers ! …Happy days Dean …Paul must be delighted with the success of this thread for the South Wales content alone …a happy new year to you both …Geraint
