Oily I have borrowed this off the Southampton thread but a classic picture of time gone bye, Dukes of Bishops Waltham every thing handball note the sack trucks on top of the load. Personally I worked for Dukes Romsey mill this was a brother of the owner of this setup as a trainee sales rep and general dogs body delivering small amounts of feed so no one ran out till the big trucks delivered, I had a Bedford HA van on an F reg and that was in 69, Buzzer.
Hi Buzzer, great old photo…from Cowley (A34) we used to cut through from Winchester to Wadhams at Southsea via Bishops Waltham and have recollections of a transport cafe about there somewhere, maybe Waltham Chase, good old days yes.

Yep., If it was like the Foden eight leggers I drove, it was than a little elbow grease. It was always a matter of aiming them at corners and hope nothing came the other way.

On those cobbles I expect that milk was cheese by the time it got to its destination

German registered Bussing with underfloor engine. Chris
I have never seen inside one of those Bussings but I suppose that, without an engine, there would be loads of room inside, even without a modern high roof.
Morning all,
What about a brand new F12 just out of the box with destination sticker in the windscreen. Harvey
Thanks to adr and HRS for the pics

How about this Chris, a similar outfit now in preservation, might even be the same wagon with minor changes.
