Who needs Pickfords when you move house NZ style
Saw one of these for the first time today. (Sorry, not able to take my own photo).
My wife and I were going to Kendal from Barrow and saw it transporting 2 caravans to the Furness peninsula, then heading out empty as we were returning.
Lots of Biomass - several Hayton Coulthard, Jenkinsons and one other whose name I can’t remember.
5 or 6 HPH carrying Kimberly Clark and a couple of Eddie Stobart’s with washing powder from Robert Mcbride.
No Brady’s, Athersmith’s or Bewick’s. As George Harrison said, ‘All things must pass!’
John.
Hi John, there was 2 of us going to Bardsea leisure this morning myself at 0700 and I left at 0815 and my mate with slippers in his window on the afternoon shift . I did stop at Keele last night and he left from the yard.Photo from Goodwood when they had all the Spitfires and Hurricanes were flying last summer.

Hi Ade,
It must have been your mate I saw - us retired folk are very rarely up at 7.30! think it was about 9.00 on the levens and I figured he’d left pretty early from Gloucestershire to be there by then!
I know I’m not telling any tales out of school. These days you can probably pinpoint where your motors are at any given second - as opposed to ‘Give us a ring when you’re tipped, if you can find a phone box that hasn’t been vandalised.’
John.
Thanks to matt watson, TIDDERSON, John West, lurpak and Buzzer for the pics
One from recent travels and a cobbled street/road for a clue.
Oily
Hi Oily, I see you have been to Sunny Silloth along with servo, I have had some slippery times on those cobbled sets when returning empty to the Carr,s Mill especially on the RAFA club corner due to various mill raw products falling off tippers leading of Silloth airfield storage hangers. You must have passed through my wee toon.
Cheers, Leyland 600.

Aye indeed Leyland600, through your wee toon I was. grand farming countryside it is, quite a few dairy herds. Once I get the dashcam footage looked at, will have a few more you may recognise. Stayed a couple of nights, lovely caravan park on a farm at Knells, Houghton, Carlisle.
Cheers
Oily

Hi Leyland600, I didn’t, but may well call in at Knells again and make enquiries, can you sort this one out for us, the AS reg is the old County of Nairn pre 1962 later to become part of Highland Region in 1975, the pic sent to me by servo88 and taken at Silloth.
