Hi Gordon, I was staying at Chirnside Sat/Sun, My niece who lives at Stoke on Trent had a cottage there for a week, So my wife & I went up to see the family, The place was next door to Chirnside Hall, With a wood burning stove, We really enjoyed it, Regards Larry.
Thanks to Lawrence Dunbar and servo88 for the pics

Hi Pete Macloom Chieftain new 1955 and heading for Harris Handwoven Tweed, Tarbert, Isle of Harris, Inverness Castle backdrop, to my knowledge, no Harris Tweed made at Tarbert now tho’ they do have a brand new distillery.

Hi Pete, This Stan Fisher Clydesdale was restored by Tyson Burridge to replicate the one he drove for his uncle before starting his own business. The wagon was painted with a care worn finish to replicate just how it looked back then in the late 195os early 60s.
Here is a photo I took of A.D. Boyes Reiver 649 KRM and Tyson’s original Reiver 52 CRM (I think) on the A69 near Haltwhistle with two loads of timber from Tyne Dock destined for a timber yard at Whitehaven.
Cheers, Leyland 600.
I had a day out at Beamish Saturday, nothing special on at the museum on the day but, no crowds so it was easier
to get the photos.
Thanks to servo88, Leyland 600 and kevmac47

Hi Oily/Kev,
Tar sprayer with a chippings spreader? If you look in hopper is that the supply for the tar into what looks like a spray bar under the machine and in the last photo that Kev posted you would need a hefty lad on the handles of that plough to stop it digging in!! Cheer’s Pete

Heres a few more from Beamish last weekend.543210
Hi Kev, I reckon it’s a horse drawn snowplough, weighty, but needed to be, like Pete says, the tiller man would’ve had to been of the same construction I remember homemade wooden one’s(with a bit of ballast), okay up to about a foot deep. Snow balled up under the horses hooves, and had to be cleaned off to avoid injury, tying sacking(guano bags we called them) round the hooves was a precaution.
