"Oilly, that part of France never forgets, when I was bringing parties over from the USA, it was the same, and I found their real sincerity , so moving, for so many Americans never returned home…If you can go, please do, emotionally it will drain you, but the experience of such gratitude, is overwhelming. Please go, you and your family will be so welcome, and it may give you closure."
Hi Saviem, I thank you for that and along with previous posts and similar advice, it is now becoming a serious consideration.
Cheers

Everybody should go once in their lifetime. Leger Travel do coach tours. We’ve been to Thiepval twice, we couldn’t do it again however, it’s a sad area with so many cemeteries dotted all over the place, we had the car, we found a fabulous peaceful little picnic spot, we’ve never forgotten it, so much death in recent past but now so peaceful.
And if these posts don’t meet with the approval of some members I’m afraid they’ll just have to live with it. They have the right to NOT read them.

A few old one,s i,v come across Oily, what do you think of these? regards servo 88
Hi servo, Cheers for the pics yes moved plenty of the 1000s and the Heralds, that one in your pic is a 1300, the unusual assembly method used when building the Heralds was the body panels were bolted together rather than spot welded, supposedly easier damage replacement, the other thing was the bonnet/front wing assembly was one piece and when hinged forward gave access to engine and front suspension. Bentleys and Jags were above my pay grade the odd Jag now and again. Moved some rare ones in the time I was on that job, some tales to tell another time.

A bit busy with the NHS and chiropractor these past few weeks, but on the bright side it takes me to Inverness and the opportunity for adding a bit of snapping time, one hour today, 119 photos, all to be sorted yet, but will appear in due course.
This one from yesterday on A9 at North Kessock, a Valtra tractor, but haven’t a clue what the machine on the trailer is.

Oily now your on the subject of agricultural equipment this is my latest acquisition, its an Avant articulated loader and is very versatile as you can get over ninety bits to fit on it. Not cheap and this is an ex demonstrator, been after one for a long time but when advertised second hand they are usually gone in the blink of an eye. I have a muck grab and four in one bucket with mine and still getting used to it and is a bit different to the Bobcat I had before, Buzzer.
Hi Oily. Re the ERF bulk blowere, I had a word with my mate another bulk blower man who reckons this is definitely an ex Galloway & MacLeod motor.
Cheers, Leyland 600
