Another Bedford parked outside our house when I was a kid

Just a few more of the ones my dad drove over his 50 years in road transport
Apologies if I’ve posted these before

Some respect would be nice Shirtbox2003 and 900x20 there’s a few cars on here and there’s been no complaints there

Hi shirtbox2003,
I respect the fact you are a lorry driver, working or retired and more than competent in the skills to do the job.
This is the only thread I have ever started and owe a deep gratitude to the posters who keep it going, many going out of their way to take snaps
I note you have started a few threads, mostly asking others to satisfy your curiosity with photos and info, I’ve actually posted on some of them, tho’ to myself and others appreciation seems a bit thin on the ground.
I have no recollection of you posting on this thread until today and that is with a moan verging on derogatory to me personally with regard to a picture I responded to, I thought long and hard about my reply to the Commando Memorial pic, knowing that what I was about to write didn’t quite belong on here, anyway done now and appreciated by some.
Posters on here and other threads give a lot their time taking and sorting photos. keeping records of said photos and responding to the requests of like minded people.
My two pet hates in life have been lack of respect for one’s fellow man, the other being selfishness.
Oily

Oily, I think that’s the first time I’ve heard you censure any comment on your thread, and I agree with you whole heartedly. We owe a great debt to all those who have fought and given so much up to and including the final sacrifice. You are rightly proud of a very brave, and extremely young man. Just this morning I visited my dad’s grave, he survived six years conflict from 1939 til 1945 with The Seventh Armoured Div. His only surviving sister (aged 80) had left a card on his gravestone detailing his bravery and how proud she was of him. It really filled me up.Regards Kev.

Well put Oily, here,s some wagons to get us back on track   regards servo

Yes Gordon, pride but a bit of personal shame inasmuch as I have never been to visit the Bayeux Memorial Gardens at Calvados, tho’ one of my daughters has been. also my late sister along with my nephew. There are annual organised trips which I considered signing up to but as yet haven’t got round to it
