Good action shot of the Bedford, once backbone of the Briitish Army, Airforce and Navy onroad/offroad transport, sadly killed off in the mid 80s by a political decision in favour of LeylandDAF, in spite of the the fact that the Bedford made AWD outperformed the opposition, as I remember it.

UJ 3652 when new to my Grandad. The reason it hasn`t got E & O Griffiths all over it and instead has Freeguard Brothers.Is due to a well known South Wales haulier successfully appealing against him extending his A licence.He knew Freeguards and ran her on there licence. She hauled steel to Dagenham from South Wales,Grandad said they used to bring butter back from Manchester. Regards Rich.
