Retired Old ■■■■:
I like the Thorneycroft, Ade. Proper vehicle engineering.
And the Lacre brought back memories of seeing them at work. I think they were originally manufactured just to the West of Covent Garden in London but, a bit like Vauxhalls, had to move out of town in order to expand their operations. Also, of course, because land was cheaper in the sticks.
Anyway, how come you’ve got time to wander around museums when there are loads of caravans to pick up?

I was lost,it’s a bit flat over there

This Morris Series Z NLW 291 Post Office Telephones belongs to Norman Lowe of ERF fame from Brora and usually travels to rallys within the van body on the ERF.
Cheers Leyland 600

Excuse my age.

Mr ■■■■, spot on sir. The name Lacre derived from Long Acre, a street that was part of the old Covent Garden market.

You see, my memory cells do still work!

Sometimes :unamused:

you have more than one ■■?

I’ll have you know that when I had a brain scan they found three!

Amongst all the light-bars, polished wheels , and airbrushed cabs at Truckfest Scotland recently , was this eye-catching Thornycroft 4 wheeler.
Loaded with an equally-clean McCormick Farmall tractor, this small duo could have been ready to deliver a
farmer`s new pride and joy tractor.

Cheers , cattle wagon man.
