The Kiwi leaning on the log is shouting into his mobile ‘keep going you fool, I’m pushing all I can’, and the driver is leaning out of his window and shouting ‘WHAT?’

HERE’S AN UNUSUALLY BEAST. NMP

Very unusual, twin wipers on each small screen and grab handles underneath the screens to gain entry through the rearward opening doors.

The odd looking black unit is a Sterling, which I understand was an American manufacturer of specialist heavy haulage trucks. This one appears to be equipped with upper windows to observe things on high, along with which the spot lights appear to serve as search lights as they are both tilted skywards. Perhaps useful to a crane operator, a flying school, a fire brigade or tree surgeon, a lorry-mounted ack-ack gun slinger - who knows?
