Yes mate, they look odd don’t they far better with twin 400ltr IMHO maybe because of weight as D.C.Ball was a container haulier if I remember, Buzzer

Not that model but I had a Lagonda, bought for Β£75 in the 70s I think. Aston Martin DB 2 engine and 4 speed column control gearbox. Linkage was dodgy so couldn’t get 1st gear, never mind, still beat 'em all away from the lights in 2nd. :smiley:

The Triumph ad with the Carvair plane is interesting. For those not familiar, the Cavair was a Freddy Laker inspired DC4 conversion. Cars apart, the Carvair carried all kinds of freight including livestock.

Part of the large fleet of FG series Leyland bread vans in the large fleet of Scotts Bakery.
The huge factory bakery was close to where the M57 and M58 motorways begin nowadays.
I remember the early FG series vehicles mainly carried the Morris badge.

Buzzer I would say that is a locally made (Oz) cab based on the Stuttgart Road Blocker above.

It bears remarkable resemblance to a Brisbane City Council Daimler from the 50s. Possibly a Watts body, they were Brisbane based (predominantly) bus body builders.
Possibly a cannibalised bus or custom built.
