Thanks MRM I bet he felt a bit of a goat, spelling rectified.
Isn’t that bull bar [I say that with misgivings]on the Linfox a horrible mismatch. it would probably handle a large rabbit.
Just an after thought that Fencer we called him Blink retired to be the first ranger at Geiky Gorge and he took me out after his last tour for the day in1975ish and I caught my first Barra weighed in at 14 pounds,I was a very happy chappy.

6x6 conversion on a 79 series LandCruiser? 4.5l V8?
Take the tools off and put a body on the tray for a superb LandCrusher.
Thank goodness they’ve got their waist coats on, what would they do without? Hard times.
Forgive my ignorance, sitting on my backside as I look at my 21st C phone, but they don’t look like they made it easy as was possible? Perhaps they only needed a few barrow loads moved down the road?

That motor of Ian Robinson’s in the last shot , the one to the nearside of the Park Royal cabbed AEC , is liveried in the old colours of Pennington Haulage , as you’re no doubt already aware Ray .
Ian spent a number of years driving for Pennington’s before acquiring his CPC and operators licence then going O/D , then for some reason or other decided to adopt Pennington’s colour scheme for his own fleet .
Starting off with one Volvo purchased from David Pennington about 10 years ago he appears to have built up a substantial fleet . Good luck to the lad I say , … but rather him than me .
Re the six wheel commer (2 stroke engine) parkin and jones a long gone tipper operator in coalville leicestershire bought several simiiar ones about 1964 they all had eaton two speed axles and went very fast. However the problem was steering difficulties on wet road vehicle headed straight on instead of turning they got shut really fast.

Steering on wet roads or sites can still be a problem with six wheelers unless care is taken, one of our OD’s who had an AEC Marshall managed to damage two builders cars when driving onto a site in Ashbourne when the truck went straight on instead of turning right.
One of our drivers at Tilcon previously drove a long wheelbase Commer six wheeler tipper for Charlie Webster at Wirksworth. He went up to load at Ballidon quarry and the shovel driver dropped the first bucketfull on the rear of the body, the front end went airborne and the rear was on the ground!
Is that the same Parkin and Jones who had a Renault dealership in Alfreton, I used to get my Renault 18 parts from them? Long gone now though.
That is a class shot of the new Leyland Badger that Buzzer has dug out ! I say it is a Badger as by the looks of the axle end it has the Eaton axle and not the Leyland Hub reduction used on both the Badger and Beaver. So it would have had the 0/d 6 speed box and the 600 engine could pull like a train ! Can’t see the make of the Four in Line but if the unit was supplied by possibly Brownhills Motors it may have been a Scammell trailer. I beleive that Brownhills Motors were bought out by Tarmac but not sure when this happened. I wonder if the bloke in the shot was the Driver or the Boss ? But at fleet no. 26 it must have been a decent sized outfit for the time. Cheers Bewick.
A strange looking tractor unit moving trailers about at Martland Park earlier today.
The young driver let me have a look in the cab, and I saw that it was 2 pedal automatic.
The vehicle is a Terberg, the manufacturers have a base at Warrington, but I dont know
its original origin, the name Terberg sounds a bit Austrian or German to me.
