Thanks Buzzer the pic of the Cattle trains waiting to load was taken at Helen Springs station NT its situated near Tennant Creek at the western end of the Barclay Tablelands and is now owned by Gina Rhineart daughter of deceased Iron ore magnate Lang Hancock.
The pic I have posted was taken in 1971 .The cattle truck was owned by Wrights transport of Mt Isa Queensland who had a fleet of Fodens prior to the american units.

NMP. Schneider got these Internationals with a set back front axle, we called them busses as the front was similar to the old Greyhound busses.

Interesting, and if you want a ‘not many people know that’ factoid, Greyhound is now owned by the German firm Flexibus, who run coaches all over Europe. I found that out while searching for an easy way for my son to get from here to Malaga, by plane he had to change at Stanstead. By Flexibus, 18 hours from Bordeaux and the money wasn’t much either. I hope the seats are comfy though.
What was the reason for the special order Remy? The number they buy obviously made it Inter’s worthwhile.

They weren’t special order Spardo just had a little shorter wheelbase, lots of companies had them.
And before Flexibus Greyhound was owned by the Britain’s First Group who still own the school bus company my wife used to work for here.
That Morris-Commercial FVO of Swallow Sidecars was a nice looking outfit for its time, I stll have a workshop manual for one which includes overhauling the Saurer diesel engine and the procedure for removing the cab from the chassis for engine replacement. Swallow was originally part owned by William Lyons who later formed Jaguar cars.
Pete.

That’s the first time I’ve seen their logo. Not surprising that they changed the name after WW2

I knew it because my Dad bought one in the late 50s I think. A wheel came off while driving through Stockport and rolled into a nearby shop. He had to go in and, rather timidly, ask ‘can I have my wheel back please?’
I often wondered about the safety of those single wingnuts on the wheel hub.
