I think this thread proves that there are no safe places, the scumbags will find you if the ■■■■■■ leave you some fuel. There used to be safety in numbers but the driver sat near you in the cafe has probably got a stanley knife in his pocket.

Sad, but true!

I once parked on the Ind Est at Witham on the A12, signposted lorry parking, very noisey with all the fridge motors running 24/7, got up in morning

i think they must have been opportunists, as i was loaded front to back, floor to roof with ride on John Deere lawnmowers, if they were proffesionals i think i would’ve got a smack over the head and thrown out in my pants 200 miles up the road.

barnsdale bar A1 n/b back door open, empty trailer, parked near forcourt, and still got curtain slashed

There is a ■■■■■ camp not far from there. If you head towards the dock, you can park up on the side road just before the dock gates. Seems safe enough. You could head towards the “Magic Rounabout”. Safe enough, but you will have a bit of hassle from the local brasses. Word of warning, they all look like addicts!

We had a truck parked up for the weekend at The Red Moss Truck stop on A74 just south of Glasgow this weekend. Our driver phoned me to say, it was run by a great couple, the food was good. There was CCTV on site.He could see the vehicle on screen when he was in the cafe, He woke up Sunday morning to find fuel cap screwdrivered off, and half a tank of diesel gone, What is the point of paying for safe parking, when this happens. If you pay to park, then the park owner should do more to make sure you are safe.

I am afraid unless you are behind a locked gate with security on the front then i am afraid you are vulnerable.

Lymm is less than great and not secure   Have had my curtains slashed there when there were barriers and no car access no coaches and only occasional foreigners.

not had a nightout since 2002,and i dont miss them either.one of the last i had was next to mayflower terminal in southampton dock, sound asleep approx 10.30pm knock on the door so i gets up opens the window only to be confronted by the dock security.he says “you cant park here you gotta move”.to which i told him my time was up,he says “if you dont move i will fetch the police and they will make you move”,i then lost my rag with him to f off of or else.dont think the standard of facilities has changed since i been on the road, they’re still disgraceful… :imp: :imp:

Can confirm they still operate here :frowning:
Its always been a bad one to park at but thought I would be ok parking during the day with a midnight start. How wrong I was! luckily never got much as I disturbed them, they had done the truck next to me as well.
They have a bit of a cheek as well to charge £9.50 for parking there when the cafe shut at 12 and no security. The guy just turned up in his car, collected the money and went! Wont be parking there again.
