Irish drivers park up at Basildon truckstop and fly home regular from Southend airport, it beats sat in the cab for 45 hours weekly rest or waiting for a load to go to Europe .
You sure about that Tobes as no mention of Ireland as a destination on the Southend Airport web site, but as it’s all part of the slime green empire maybe they divert one that’s going anywhere else
I know it’s a month old !!
There were flights out of Belfast to Southend knew several guys who would use that service this was last year, so not sure if it is still running as Stansted seems more popular now

Does anyone know who pays the best money for class 1 work? days/nights/northsouth/ cross channel?
Possibly Woodsides Motorfreight as told if you do out Birkenhead boat Sun and home Birkenhead boat Thur then deliver that load on Fri plus load for the Sun boat is approx £700home.
Camden Group (If you get the better mileage southern England runs) out Sun and back early boat Fri OTT with 5nights out £700+home too!!![emoji6]
chester1:
worked with a fair few irish lads doing channel hopping and used to fly home every other weekend they booked there flights in advance and got them dirt cheap
More a “lifestyle” than a job best suited to a mad keen young fella (Tang).
Bit crap hanging about an airport on a usual flight delay all the while eating into your
66hrs off
24hrs reduced rest middle weekend shafted sitting about somewhere like Lymn Services must be some craic too
Owner drivers not doing your normal Channel hopping all chipped in on a cheap car for the airport half went one week half the other went from. Left Kent fri am back mon pm

Well your welcome to look at my Camden payslips for past year??[emoji12] Just to clarify their drivers on the long runs can do 3000km easy@ 0.11p per km and then theres the 5nights out@ £30/night BEFORE any wages are added in.
You do the math!!![emoji56]
Big Truck:

So £220 ?
Bloody hell!!!
No,
You then have a basic of £200 plus extra “bonus” of so much per window frame/pane of glass deliverd plus £1.50per drop.
So roughly add another £400 onto the £480 and in a real good busy week (4loads) add £450.

£700take home “wee buns”!!!
Over to you “bigtruck”!!![emoji12]
So what your saying is
£150 n/o + £200 wage = £350
£330 travel bonus (0.11 x 3000km)
= £680
Then add £400 for bonus ?
FFS,
read my post through again!!!
Or why not spell it out for us hard of hearing
The basic of £200 plus the “bonus” of what you’ve delivered/dropped during the working week totalled up “could be” £400/450 THEN add that to the £480 and my maths makes £880/930 topline.
Now take away tax/NI and = take home■■?[emoji56]

So your basic is £350 per week
Add bonuses
Take away tax
Think so,
£200+£150nightout=£350?
Only if you do the 5nights out!!![emoji6]

Forgot:
£15 per reload too,
so even lifting a single pallet of door handles on mainland for factory £15 taxable,
approx 3/4 per week.[emoji41]
