I think he did as far as i can remember Joe had LTY 126L and PNL 156M day cab Atkinson and the DAF demo for 6 month then got RTY 17N it was timed to when the DAF went back, and Davie went on the P&G trunk with Arthur Mallin with
the Mercedes
Des Blythe and Taffy Newman with the Seddon/Atkinson STY38S THE TRUCK THE DEVIL MADE HIMSELF this had to be the most unreliable truck to ever pass through Waugh’s gates. plus this saw the arrival of the first three tautliners into the
fleet of trailer which was all flats with a few Skelly’s for the containers at the time.

Hullo Mark,
Originally Scarborough, they were from PICKERING (Heaven on Earth  ), with the Quarry at Thornton Dale, the Haulage Yard was on the Malton Road at Kirbymisperton.
Cheers, Archie.

Hullo Marc,
Sim muito quenta  , ma muito chuva :frowning: . How is it in Lourenco Marques ? Still lazing on deck, looking at pictures of Lorries ? or do you have to do a bit of work occasionally ? I reckon it must almost be as easy as working for Kris and Jimmy, but without any diesel fiddles. Well your Dad was nearly right eh ? If you or he come down to the Steam Fair this year, or the Truck (Lorry) Show, then you will only be a quarter of a mile from the old Depot of Slaters. As you say we just I suppose scrape into the area of the North East.
Cheers, Archie.

hello archie

you must be in sao paulo or portugal then, i meant i was still at home the boat is in dry dock getting the thrusters done so will be going back 1st week of feb, nice long holiday at home this time apart from this white stuff coming down again other day, i was with kris and jimmy at the drivers get together 27th dec, had a good day, was a bit worse for ware the next day though but it was good to see some of the lads.

cheers
