This pic should have gone with previous post!

wow  keep these pictures coming Chris

Ron “Squibby” Coles with his AEC while on for Bushells of Wallingford. Pic taken during construction of A34 somewhere between Didcot & Chieveley.

Bushells again, the perfect load to deal with road-rage!

Who remembers this lot? One of many transporters in & out of British Leyland Cowley day & night!

Before & after, bought on the friday, hit the road monday in Berkshire Vale colours!

Pulling for Peter Roff, Leighton Buzzard!

Champs again, Squibby with his F88, about 1974.

Try again!

Took a load to Ipswich, then sent up to Great Yarmouth to collect this load of pasta, picture took in Leigh Delamere Services on way to Chippenham to tip.

This one came on demo, if I remember right the F90 had just come out new. She came the previous week & just sat in the yard, I came in on the Monday & went on a 2 day run, when I came back Tuesday it still hadn’t moved. I always think " there is nothing for the dumb, if you don’t ask you don’t get!", so I went in the office & asked if I could take it on the Wednesday cos I was on another 2 day run up North, I was told by Bob Pontin yes I could take it, just park my F7 in the corner. The 2 day run turned into a 3 dayer, which was great cos this MAN was a real flyer & I certainly didn’t want to give her back!

My old Boxer from Luker days, pic taken in 1985 somewhere in Germany!

What became of Truck Services Witney? I’d forgotten about them but I remember seeing that Man demo unit when I was riding around with Dad when Thorney Leys/Deer Park was being built. Did they become Windrush Trucks?

Not sure were Meaghers got there’s from. We used to take our MAN 7.5T when I worked for Corndell Furn to Brize Norton Rd in Minster and I’m sure it was TSW formally Ford and Slater.

Loaded & ready to roll at Glasurite Beck, Abingdon, to go to Leeds. This DAF was usually on PFA tanker work driven by Bob Monk, but my F7 was in for re-spraying & I was using the DAF for couple of weeks while Bob was on holiday.

The PFA was loaded from Didcot Power Stationn & usually delivered direct by tanker, but we also had a bagging plant in the depot in Milton, so you would often have a load of bagged on a flat, I was delivering this load to a regular drop in Abergwynfi in South Wales. You would sometimes be sent into Cardiff Docks to collect a load of timber on your way back.
