"Off the back of a lorry" What have you had?

Our kid lives in Rubery, still drinks in the Austin club. I heard many a tale of half-inching in there!

I live in rubery to lol and may of had the one maybe even more cheeky drinks in the old Austin lol …

Nothing. Ever. I have stolen things, but never freight. I couldn’t do it to somebody who had trusted me to deliver their stuff for them. :frowning:

The difference is, if you leave handy stuff like ratchet straps, gloves, stationery etc lying around, you’re asking for it to get lifted. Nobody entrusted me with them and I might need them to help my employer’s business run smoothly…

Believe it or not!!! A Land Rover, driven into an empty 40 yard RO/RO bin then covered in cardboard. picked up by Hook wagon… it is on /off the back of a wagon

Could say more but the “VALE” Mafia(Castle Vale) won’t be pleaed

Not the Innsworth Drive posse? :open_mouth:

This thread reminds me of the pubs down Regent Road in Liverpool, around teatime you could buy anything from a leg of pork to a whole pig, bacon, steak and vegetables. Furniture, Cars, Clothes, Women, Children and Animals.

Bacon is the number one item that is shoplifted as its so easy to sell, bizarre. Think its mach 3 blades that are next most popular item. Was something in the sun about it. Can just imagine the local junkie walking into a spar and stealing all the bacon

I used to do a bit as a store detective and coffee was the number 1 then followed by any meat.

I thought the most common was tea, coffee and sugar.

I went to school in Rubery…

Well I’m from Northfield!

The only thing I ever had that fell off the back of a lorry was light lenses and a long vehicle plate :open_mouth:

Although I did pump a pallet truck a little bit too much and once the pallet of jam it was under gained a little momentum it went straight through the tailboard of an old D Series box van I once drove and landed smack in the middle of a country lane outside of Dorking

North Comp?

No…I went to Kings Norton Boys.

12 ton of mozzarella cheese.I had every pizza gaff, within a 20 mile radius boxed off for months.

Nothing really, just the odd cream cake or choccy bar. Had a few temptations when working for TDG Argos but never did.

I was genuinely tempted the other week when i was carrying a few pallets of rather nifty looking crossbows.

A pine table
Box of cadbury flakes
Ice cream
Ice pops
Hand blender
North face jacket

A tailboard

■■■■ loads of sauce in all the different flavours from when we emptied the Hp factory in brum, all above board too as we were told to take as much as we want as Hp on their last day just pressed stop on conveyor belt and walked off. Strange how they kept On producIng until the last minute!
